Director of Counseling and Supervision

Licensed in Texas and Virginia

As a Licensed Professional Counselor my goal is to help those who are hurting. I have a Masters in Christian Counseling and am Nationally Board Certified. I am currently working toward my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision. We all face difficulties in life and sometimes need help working through those difficulties. I will walk with you through life's difficulties and together we will experience a better life.

My experience includes crisis intervention, sexual abuse, domestic abuse/violence, and Suicidal Ideation, and human trafficking. I have volunteered at a local women's center on the hotline. I have also worked at another local women's center as a resident and hotline advocate.

I enjoy helping others. I use Biblical principals and sound counseling techniques. I look forward to walking with you through life's difficult times and celebrating with you better times. I work with ages 10 and up.

Rose M. Devlin, LPC, CSC

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 is a promise that the Lord gives to you and me. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, the Word, and my own experiences, I have had the opportunity to help individuals and families navigate through uncharted territory. Being a helper is my passion and being used by the Lord to help is an honor. I hold on to the promise of Isaiah 43:2 with an open mind and strong faith that the Lord will walk alongside us through difficult times.

I am a graduate of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Spanish and Summa Cum Laude honors. Prior to returning to graduate school, I taught at the elementary level for seven years. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in the Spring of 2015 with a Master of Education in Counseling Education and completed all required courses to obtain LPC licensure in the state of Texas. Currently, I am in my fourth year as a middle school counselor in Pasadena ISD and serving as an LPC-Intern.

Through my work as a school counselor, I have assisted students with disabilities, trauma, mood and personality disorders. I have developed intervention plans to support students who are struggling academically, socially, and emotionally. Using a team approach, parents and teachers have worked with me to encourage and enrich the lives of their students and children. I have also supported parents who have had difficulty communicating and understanding their child’s struggles. It has really been a joy to assist students, teachers, and families. The team approach reminds me that, “As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so [Christ’s] whole body is healthy and growing and full of love” (Ephesians 4:16, NLT). It has been a privilege to work with each individual that I have encountered through this journey.

As Christians, we must “Encourage each other and strengthen one another” (1 Thessalonians 5:11, GW). It is my intention to walk alongside you and allow the Prince of Peace to lead us to hope and a future.

Many times we find ourselves overwhelmed with life and in need of a safe place to work through the issues. It is here where we work with our individual clients to help them learn how to cope with today's issues and move forward in their lives.

The three main issues that cause divorce or conflict in a marriage are communication, finances, and trust. We work with our couples in these three main areas, as well as, underlying issues that are happening in order to mend the marriage relationship.

We also provide premarital counseling using the SYMBIS Assessment.

There are many different types of families today. We work with each type of family to help them develop solid relationships. As in couples, communication and trust can impact the family unit. It is our goal to help the family to build trust and communication.

For our clients who would like to participate in sessions by phone and/or online, we would like to offer a self-pay service. We partner with Always There Counseling and you are able to choose one of our counselors as your counselor.

Intake Paperwork

All paperwork will be sent out by our Office Manager prior to your initial session. The paperwork will need to be completed in its entirety prior to our first visit. If it is not completed, it will cause a disruption in your session and we may have to postpone which will cause you to have a late cancellation fee applied. If for some reason you do not receive paperwork, please call our offices at (281) 946-0997 and let us know immediately so that we can correct this for you. We want your sessions to proceed as smoothly as possible.

Appointment Late Cancellation/No Show Policy

All appointments are scheduled, including the first session with the understanding the client is aware of the late cancellation/no show fee policy. The client is fully aware at the time of booking he or she must cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time in order to avoid a late cancellation fee or no show fee. The client is aware he or she may opt for a telephone or online HIPPA compliant based session in order to avoid the fee if the late cancellation is due to a non-emergency. The client is aware that if the situation is due to an unforeseen emergency and this can be documented, then no fee will be applied to the client.
